In cooperation with AET from Tolmin in the project Development of the prototype and optimising the electronic feeder Flash Start System (FSS), programmers in Logina’s development centre have developed a prototype of a microprocessor feeder of the glow plug in diesel engines. The prototype development presents an innovative input into the development of a quick start in cooling diesel aggregates. The design is based on the PIC 18F452 processor and FET smart power amplifier. Its basic functionalities are:

• filtering the incoming signals,
• calculating feeder signals,
• diagnostics,
• communication with the central computer.
